🎗️🌈 A New Era of Design, Philanthropy, and Social Justice Begins! 🌈🎗️
Dear friends, colleagues, and change-makers,
Welcome to , Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, San Francisco, a nonprofit organization that has been making a tangible impact nationwide for the past 40 years. Our mission is simple but powerful: we believe in the power of design to change lives. Through our work, we support the fight against HIV/AIDS, homelessness, and food scarcity, while fostering mental health wellness, inclusivity, and inspiring positive change.
It is an absolute honor to co-chair this chapter alongside Raul Cabrera III. With 23+ combined years of volunteering for DIFFA SF, we professionally represent various design communities, including digital, information, technical, interior, and fashion. We follow in the footsteps of Chairman Emeritus Randall Shields and dedicated member Barbara Waldman, who have dedicated 30+ years to the SF chapter. The pandemic significantly impacted our community, amplifying the need for our mission. Randy and Barbara's legacy and commitment to making a inspire us as we emerge from these challenging times to plan our first post-pandemic event for this Fall!
Our beloved beneficiary, , at UCSF, has been a pioneering healthcare center at the forefront of the fight against for the past 40 years. By partnering with Monica Gandhi, MD, Diane Havlir, MD, and Jon Oskarsson, RN, MN, we ensure critical medical services, support, education, and research are available to those in need.
Our success relies on passionate individuals like you. Whether you advocate for social justice, support the + community, or believe in the transformative power of design, your voice matters.
