The more spiritually mature a leader becomes, the less interested they are in being worshipped.
Immature leadership asks:
“How do I get more people to follow me?”
Mature leadership asks:
“How do I build something that no longer depends on me?”
That’s the difference between a personality cult and a movement.
Personality cults ask people to orbit around a founder, where Movements invite people to become co-creators of a shared future.
Up until recently, the shadow of the personal development and spiritual industries is that many leaders were the center of everything.
The leaders shaping humanity’s next chapter are learning how to hold influence without hoarding power.
They are building ambassador networks instead of fan bases. Communities instead of audiences. Governing instead of guruism.
This is one of the central teachings inside the Movement Maker Incubator.
Not how to become more influential, but how to build and hold influence responsibly.
