Cameron Stiehl was born in Passaic, New Jersey and lived in many locations throughout the East Coast before sky high adventures called her mother to move them to Albuquerque, New Mexico, the hot air balloon capital of the world. Throughout high school, Cameron was heavily involved in the theater department, where she first encountered peers who were openly gay. It did not take long for the self-re
alization to hit, the community bonds to grow strong, and Cameron to come out to friends and family as bisexual. While the personal support system was firmly in place, society in the 80s was not as kind. Very soon, Cameron was fighting alongside her LGBTQ brothers and sisters to resist unfair treatment, bullying, and unwarranted raids of q***r spaces by law enforcement. Raised by a family of strong, bra-burning women’s liberation fighters of the 1960’s, a next generation activist was born. Cameron attended the University of New Mexico, first majoring in Theatre Arts and finally achieving a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education. She taught high school for five years before moving to San Francisco where she has raised a child, built a thriving business, and returned to social activism. By day, Cameron is the owner of The Ergo Lady, specializing in ergonomic assessments and consulting. She is mother of Corin, now 20, a beautiful young man with Fragile X Syndrome/Autism. With theater, performance, and filmmaking still in her heart, Cameron has appeared in a number of short films, web series, television commercials, and independent feature films. Her alter-ego, Raven Madd Munro, of drag empire La Maison de Munro, comes out for occasional performances. She is the creator, executive producer, and host of Happy Hour with Cameron Stiehl, a web-based documentary series highlighting interviews with the LGBTQ+ community. She worked as segment producer on the Imperial Council documentary, 50 Years of Fabulous. She also works with the I’m From Driftwood LBGT Story Archive, capturing stories for that New York-based project in San Francisco, and is a regular co-host of the LGBT news web series, GNews! Since successfully completing a year as Imperial Crown Princess 2018, Cameron has been serving on the Imperial Council of San Francisco Board of Directors for the past four years, including two terms as Board Secretary. She has been serving on the Board of Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation (REAF) for many years, worked on the National GLBT Civil Rights Network as the co-chair of Northern California, and assisted on the GLAAD San Francisco auction committee.
