It's the first week of May and Summer is just around the corner! This means many of our campaigns are wrapping up. We want to give a BIG shout out to our students and their supporters. More than 900 donors came together to raise $320k+ for students! Thanks to the , to all of our student advocates, and of course to the themselves. You did it!

"I'm from Brooklyn, however, when I learned that there was an opportunity to begin and found a school in South Jamaica with students that resemble my own background, I had to jump at the chance. Especially within a network that employs restorative practices, a network that values art in instruction and it also values more than just taking a test or creating mini robots.

We're a community. It's a family feel here. Without the family feel plus the strong academics, students might not necessarily feel that supported, right? Because they can walk out of here super smart, but then what are you able to do with that? How can you build context within your community?
..They're tasked to bond together, 'cause as an individual, we can't do very much, but once we're a community, then we can do a ton. So we are intentional about teaching that as well as teaching math and science."
