Does anyone remember the name of the belgian beer that we serve hot? It was a cherry beer. I remember it from about 15 years ago. Todd Peterson you might remember.

What I find interesting about the IPA, Hazy IPA, Fresh is best IPA crazy is that they are not IPA's. We all know the story, IPA's were a means the English made to preserve the beer being shipped to India for the troops. Now IPAs have morphed into a plethora of "got to be fresh", "drink it before it goes bad", hazy perfume water beers that really can not be called IPA. I opened a 4 year old IPA red ale last night that was everything an IPA is supposed to be. A well preserved beer with the deep hop bitterness that screams hops backed with the maltynees without the floral perfume aroma that goes with today's IPA's. I could even taste the hops (Centennial) used without looking at the recipe.
Now the question to ponder is what should these pseudo IPAs really be called? ATBIPA?
