Now Recruiting for the 2026–2027 School Year!

Club FBS (Finances, Books & Sneakers) is now accepting interest forms for young men entering grades 9-12.

Entering our fourth year, Club FBS continues its mission of equipping young men with the literacy, leadership, and financial skills they need to thrive. Through engaging books, meaningful mentorship, and real-world financial education, Young Brothers grow in confidence and prepare to lead in their schools, communities, and beyond.

If you know a son, nephew, brother, cousin, or another young man who would benefit from a community that will challenge, support, and celebrate him, we'd love to meet him.

There's something powerful about organizations coming together around a shared purpose.⁠

Recently, Club FBS joined BIGI, OUR KINGS, Young Echelon, and Greater Than Tech for the Youth Coalition Back-to-School Skate Night, welcoming more than 100 young people and their families for an evening of connection, community, and fun before the new school year begins.⁠
⁠
We believe our communities are strongest when organizations come together in service of young people. Working alongside partners who share that commitment allows us to create even more opportunities for connection, mentorship, and growth.⁠

Thank you to our coalition partners and every family who joined us. We're grateful to be part of a community that's investing in the next generation, and we're excited for what's ahead this school year.⁠

Literacy has been part of the Club FBS mission from the very beginning.⁠
⁠
Founded to help increase literacy by putting engaging, relevant books into the hands of young Black boys, Club FBS continues that tradition through our annual End of Year Celebration.⁠
⁠
This year, every Young Brother received a curated gift package featuring four books selected specifically for his grade level. Every title was chosen with intention, introducing stories and ideas designed to spark curiosity, encourage conversation, and broaden perspectives.⁠
⁠
The books may change each year, but the goal remains the same: helping young men discover stories that challenge them, expand their perspectives, and inspire a lifelong love of reading.⁠

Last weekend, more than 50 Young Brothers, parents, mentors, volunteers, and community supporters came together to celebrate another incredible year at Club FBS.⁠

Our annual End of Year Showcase gives us the opportunity to pause, look back on the year, and recognize the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our Young Brothers. It's also a chance to thank the families, mentors, volunteers, and supporters who continue to invest their time, encouragement, and resources throughout the year.⁠

From sharing a meal together to recognizing individual achievements, and presenting gift packages, the afternoon was filled with moments worth celebrating.⁠

Congratulations to recent Club FBS alumnus Kurstin Mitchell on receiving the Brother Kevin Hall Memorial Scholarship at the 2026 Joint Scholarship Reception hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s Zeta Sigma Lambda chapter and the Epsilon Xi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.⁠
