Bob Clark - President Emeritus SDPHC & Beloved Friend
Bob Clark succumbed to fight with cancer on January 18, 2026. Bob was a cherished friend, dedicated leader, and tireless volunteer whose impact on the San Diego community will be felt for generations. A proud member of the San Diego Parrot Head Club (SDPHC) for 30 years and its president for an extraordinary 27 years, Bob devoted countless hours to service, fellowship, and philanthropy.
Through his leadership, SDPHC supported numerous San Diego charities, raising funds and giving time to causes including beach cleanups, food banks, blood drives, and water stations. Bob was instrumental in organizing many of the club’s signature events, including the Anniversary Party, Charity Dinner, and Pub Crawl, and he fostered lasting partnerships with trop rock bands. He was a familiar and beloved presence at Meeting of the Minds, where his passion for the Parrot Head community shone brightly.
Bob’s commitment to service extended well beyond SDPHC. He was an active member of OMBAC (Old Mission Beach Athletic Club) and the San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club, and he brought the same steady, mild-mannered leadership to his role as Union President for the National Treasury & Employees Union (NTEU) for over 20 years. He dedicated 38 years of service to the U.S. Customs Service.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon Clark; his son, Randall Clark; and his two stepsons, Tim and Sean Adams. Details regarding services and celebrations of life will be shared at a later time.
Bob’s generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to others will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
