Special request: We just had a boy named Alexis come to us that's in need of a scholarship. His father died and his mother works the night shift at a factory. We're still a little unsure as to why, but even though he's 12-years old, he cannot read or write. The school staff is in the process of testing him with the hopes of getting him up to speed this school year. He doesn't appear to have any obvious cognitive delays.

All to say, if you'd like to provide Alexis with a scholarship, please send me a message.

School has been cancelled for two days now due to unhealthy weather conditions. It's windy...and dusty (really dusty!). The dust/dirt in the air (especially in Tijuana) is unbelievably contaminated with a whole lot of gross particles. I suppose it would be a good science experiment.

On a brighter note, here is a picture of a high schooler in our scholarship program proudly displaying her science experiment from earlier this week.

Our choir (Selah) has now presented at two different churches this season...with two to go. Thank you for supporting this ministry. The goal of Selah is to bring the truths of God to the people of Tijuana through song.

Many of you will remember from our newsletter the girl in our scholarship program who lost both parents to a house fire. Many of you gave to the re-building of her home. Well, it's coming along, stone by stone, a Chiapas-style build.
