Tonight we received a message that one of our coonhound puppies adopted from us in 2016 has passed away after battling cancer and being in remission twice. Dutch was very spoiled and loved by her family. The passing of a beloved pet is never something we want to go thru but it makes it a little easier knowing she was so loved and cared for. Below is what her family wrote....

She was spoiled rotten and had many birthday parties, unwrapped lots of Christmas presents and was on every Christmas card from 2016-2025. She had her own stocking and had a different Halloween costume every year. We got her little boots to walk the trail, which she wore a few times because they just weren’t the perfect fit for her little feet. She was a sweet, loving girl. Scared of her own shadow. Would bring her favorite toy to the door in her mouth when we returned from being away. On Sunday April 12th Dutch’s body grew tired and even though we did not want to let her go, we knew it was the best for our girl. She is missed beyond words and will be loved forever. Thank you for entrusting us with Baby Dutch as she was known by her family. We truly are thankful to be her family.

Cecilia and family we are forever grateful of the love and care you gave Dutch all these years. We know she was a cherished member of the family. May all the memories you had with her help heal your heart in time.

To all our hound lovers out there...Let's help find this beautiful girl a forever loving home.

Dixie is a beautiful, good, happy dog with puppy energy. She loves walks, prancing and playing fetch with toys. She also loves to snuggle. According to the vet, she is about 1 year old. She is well behaved with my dogs. We found Dixie by our local soccer fields. We live in a rural area, where unfortunately, dogs are commonly dumped. We searched for an owner, checked for a chip. She has no chip and no owners have come forward. She has been dewormed, vaccinated and spayed. We now want to help her find her forever home where she is loved and well taken care of. We have 6 dogs already and sadly, can not take on another dog. Please, help us find her a loving home as soon as possible. Thank you!

Meet Heidi a sweet, playful girl looking for her forever family.

Heidi has just spent 585 days at the Carlsbad Shelter and was adopted by a family last Saturday at the shelters free adoption event but sadly they are unable to keep her and do not want to send her back to the shelter.

Per the family she is good with other dogs and kids. The shelter said she likes to play ball, walks well on a leash and knows sit and down.

Please help spread the word so Heidi can find a forever home and doesn't go back to the shelter.

Please no negative comments. The family was trying to help her and have reached out for help.

We are always committed to the dogs who have come through our rescue, no matter how many years ago or how old they may now be. It took a village to keep them safe and together. Thank you San Diego Dept of Animal Services, Elizabeth Acosta, Ken And Lorna, Julie Levine, Regina, Charlotte with Meade Rescue and Fosted Faces. Without all of ur efforts and input our goal would not have been accomplished.

Tonight two of our Beagles are safe. They originally came thru Four Paws several years ago and we were notified that their owner passed away and they were now sitting at Animal Control. As we always say once a dog comes thru our rescue they are always part of us even after all these years.

I sprung them from South County Animal Control this morning and with the help of friends Ken and Lorna we drove them to North County where we met up with Julie Levine who took them up to the LA area where they will go into a foster home.

These girls are now seniors and as sweet as can be. Thank you Rebecca Stevens for working so hard from Wyoming to secure their safety. Thank you Julie Levine for taking them in and Thank you Ken and Lorna for helping me get them and driving.

Tonight Benji and Cindy are safe and resting their heads someplace warm. ❤️

Meet Jack a 3 month old Lab mix pup who is looking for his forever family. He originally came from Mexico with his mom and siblings after living in the backyard and then was rescued after the orginal owner was going to let them all loose on the street. A kind person took them all and got them to a rescue. A wonderful foster home (who was a long time volunteer and also fostered for Four Paws) stepped up to foster him and is spreading the word for his new home. He is very sweet, good with cats, good with other dogs, learning his potty training, already knows how to sit and down. He would do best in a home with another dog to play with. He is neutered and vaccinated. Please help spread the word so we can find this guy a home, one that will make him part of the family. Any interest please let me know and I will put you in touch with his foster mom. Jack says thank you 😊 ❤
