Vets Love Pets wasn’t just an idea — it’s something that’s been building my whole life.
Before anything else, I served in the military. That experience shaped how I see community, service, and showing up for others — especially for fellow veterans who may be struggling after service.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time in thrift stores. It wasn’t about trends back then — it was about making the most of what we had. Over time, thrifting became something I genuinely loved… and eventually, I passed that down to my kids. What started as a simple habit turned into something bigger — a way to connect, save money, and find purpose in everyday things.
As life came full circle, I realized I could combine all of it:
✔ My passion for helping veterans
✔ My love for animals
✔ And my background in thrifting
That’s how Vets Love Pets was born.
Today, we’re building a nonprofit focused on:
🐶 Providing support animals to veterans and service members
🐾 Supplying pet food and essentials to those in need
🛍️ Running thrift stores and pop-ups where proceeds go directly back into helping veterans and their pets
This isn’t just about pets — it’s about connection, mental health, and giving veterans something to care for and something that cares for them back.
Looking ahead, our goals are big:
🚀 Open a full-time Vets Love Pets thrift store
🏠 Launch a small rescue/shelter program
☕ Create community spaces like “Cats & Coffee”
🎥 Share real stories of veterans and their pets
