San Diego For Science

San Diego For Science San Diego For Science stands for public policy that both supports, and is supported by, openly accessible science. Thank you for your support of our cause!

We organized three March/Rally for Science events for San Diego. March for Science is an effort comprised of dozens of independent, nonpartisan coordinators. Recent rhetoric has inspired the coordination of the March for Science on Washington. In solidarity, we are organizing a San Diego sister march. The March mission statement is as follows:

"The March for Science champions publicly funded and

publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good, and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest."

Gov. Newsom’s 2025-26 budget proposes significant cuts to UC’s budget. As the state legislature discusses the Governor’s proposal, we need you to speak up for the future of the University of California's funding! Without this essential funding, UC will be unable to continue pursuing our goals of expanding California undergraduate enrollment across the system and keeping affordable.
