More Than a Mattress: What a Network of Care Looks Like

How a Network of Care showed up for a mom and her two-year-old son.

Needs can be met in a day.

Relationships are built over time.

We believe the strongest response to crisis isn’t just generosity.

It’s people who continue showing up.

That’s the kind of Network of Care we’re building together.

Foster care isn’t just a system. It’s children.

Children who need more than programs—they need people.

That’s why Restoration225 equips local churches to become the caring community every child deserves.

Because the crisis is local, and together, so is the response. ❤️

My name is Joash, I’m running 35 miles for my 35th birthday to support Restoration225 and their mission to connect children and families in crisis to caring communities through the local church. I chose this organization because they live out their mission with authenticity and action—supporting foster families, mobilizing churches, and helping vulnerable kids experience hope, stability, and community. Every donation helps extend that impact across San Diego County.

Crisis is local, not distant.

It’s happening in our neighborhoods in San Diego in families who need support right now.

Awareness matters.
But awareness alone doesn’t change outcomes.

People do.

At Restoration225, we’re building a bridge connecting churches to real, local needs through our Central Hub model.

So that when crisis happens,
families aren’t left to navigate it alone.

Every child deserves a caring community.

Be part of the response

Behind every case number… is a child with a name.

In foster care, it’s easy to reduce children to files, reports, and caseloads.

But the reality is this:

A single caseworker can be responsible for 20+ children at one time.
That’s 20+ stories.
20+ lives.
20+ children waiting to be seen, known, and supported.

Caseworkers are doing sacred, exhausting work—
but they were never meant to carry it alone.

This is where community matters.

When the Church shows up—
with meals, mentorship, prayer, and presence—
children don’t just get help…

They get hope.

They get people in their corner.

They get a glimpse of what it means to belong.

Every child deserves a caring community.

East County gathering thanks to everyone who joined us 🩶

02/05/2026

Today, we gathered at Catalyst Church for a Regional Gathering 🤍

A small group.
A shared table.
Meaningful conversation around how we can better support children and families in crisis across San Diego.

These gatherings are intentionally intimate—created to build connection, trust, and a stronger network of care in our city.

We’re grateful for Catalyst Church for opening their doors and leaning into this work alongside us.

More regional gatherings are coming soon.

If you’re curious about being part of a future gathering, send us a message—we’d love to connect.

Together, community makes the difference.

The call to care isn’t always the call to foster.

Sometimes it looks like showing up.
Sometimes it’s using your skills.
Sometimes it’s giving so others can respond.

At Restoration225, we believe kids in crisis need more than one solution — they need a caring community. When the local Church and community champions say yes in different ways, families experience safety, dignity, and hope.

This is what a network of care looks like.
This is how we restore what’s been lost.

🤍 Be part of the caring community.
Kids in crisis in San Diego County need you.
