Meet Mick!

This brilliant 8.5 month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix is built for adventure and ready for a crew that can keep up with his high-drive personality! He currently weighs in at 25 lbs⚡️

Originally adopted by a family who didn’t understand his breed, he then was adopted by a lovely woman who had lots of land but she sadly then fell ill with cancer

Currently living with a professional dog trainer, Mick already has a fantastic foundation:
House Manners: Fully crate and potty trained.
Obedience: Great name recall, solid basic commands, and working on polished leash manners and impulse control.
Dog Friendly: Thrives around other dogs and currently lives with 5 foster siblings (he loves enthusiastic, high-energy play!).

The Ideal Fit 🏡
As a true working breed, Mick has high herding/prey drive and occasional resource guarding around furniture. He needs an experienced, confident handler who understands working dogs and will keep up consistent structure and boundaries.
He’s not a couch potato—he’s a goofy, sharp, highly athletic partner who will thrive with hiking, dog sports, and active training. 🏔️🐕

Meet Xena, the Warrior Princess!

Look at those ears! Xena is a completely unique, 10 months-old French Bulldog / Belgian Malinois mix. She currently weighs a compact 33 lbs and will likely max out around 40 lbs—the perfect “big dog features in a smedium dog body” package!

She unfortunately ended up with a family who didn’t understand her breeds, but with the right foster, she is ready to thrive!

The Good Stuff:
🐕 Dog & Kid Friendly: She is incredibly sweet, social, and loves people, kids, and other dogs.
🥰Smart & Eager to Learn: She already knows “sit” and is actively working on her off-leash recall.
🏡House Skills: She is already house-trained and crate-trained!
💕Fun-Loving: She loves playing fetch and has that wonderful, playful puppy energy.

The Ideal Home:
Because of her Malinois and Shepherd roots, Xena has a high prey drive. She needs a home with NO cats or small farm animals. She will thrive best with someone who understands smart, active breeds and can give her the mental stimulation she craves. She knows how to listen and is pretty vocal but understands commands and settle down with a confident handler.

She deserves a chance to show how amazing she is!

🚨VOLUNTEER NEEDED🚨

Calling all dog lovers in or near Poway! 🐕

Could you lend a helping hand (and a quick walk) for a great pup? Our foster dog, Drew, needs a helper on Mondays and Wednesdays while his foster parent is at school from 8 AM to 9 PM. We’d love to find a volunteer (or two!) to drop by for a walking break so Drew can stay right where he is!

About Drew:
6-year-old friendly boy (~70 lbs)
Super easy on leash & non-reactive, friendly with dogs and all people alike 💚
Always up for a car ride adventure!
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays for the next 3–4 weeks. Walking times are flexible within that 8 AM – 9 PM window.

This handsome 6-month-old boy has come a long way from a rough start in Mexico. Found in desperate need of care, Frito and his brothers were nursed back to health by an incredible rescue team, brought stateside, and are officially ready to find their forever homes! He’s growing fast and expected to be medium-to-large fully grown.

Total Cuddle Bug: Super friendly, loves to snuggle, and rides like a complete champ in the car.
Certified Friend: Gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids! 🐶👶🐱

🌟 Meet Astro: A beloved member of the crew and the spunky, vocal boy of the group! He is always ready to let his big personality be heard, and being a bit larger than his sisters, he’s currently weighing in closer to 5–6 lbs. and is now 12 weeks old 🚀

Their resilient mama, Nova—an 8 lb sweetheart rescued from Mexico—gave birth to 7 healthy pups. Based on mama’s size, we expect these sweet rugrats to grow into petite pups around 10-15 lbs full-grown.

Health & Recovery Status 🏥
Skin & Coat: Healing wonderfully from mange! Hair is steadily growing back with regular soothing baths.
Ears: Resolving minor ear infections with simple, ongoing ear washes.
Overall: Bright, playful, and packed with that irresistible, sweet puppy breath!

Drew needs a new foster by 8/24!

Meet Drew, a gentle 6 year old white Boxer mix rescued from a high kill shelter in imperial county, and now safe in San Diego. He is an absolute sweetheart who just wants to please, but he arrived significantly underweight at just 55 lbs and is now a healthy 70 lbs.

Drew was recently diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). This just means his pancreas doesn’t digest food properly on its own. The great news? It’s incredibly easy to manage! He just needs a simple enzyme powder mixed into his meals so his body can safely gain weight.

🏡 Drew’s Ideal Foster Home:
Cat-free: He has a prey drive and needs a home without felines.
Patient & Routine-Oriented: To help him enjoy his meals and finally get pampered.
Dog Savvy: He has a very friendly demeanor but can be bossy when playing with canine friends and overall easily coexist with other mellow pups. Drew deserves a stable environment to heal and thrive.
