You can get paid to learn data analysis 💸📊

The Impacting Communities Through Data (ICTD) six-week program is designed to equip veterans with essential data analysis and visualization skills while providing the ability to make meaningful contributions to local environmental and social impact research, specifically through community-based projects utilizing real-world datasets from San Diego State University (SDSU) and its community partners.

This fully online program combines individual and group work and allows for participants to access materials and complete assignments independently, on their own schedule, within the time frame of the program, and each participant will spend an estimate of 40 hours in total over the six weeks. Those who complete the program will receive a $690 stipend as recognition for their time and resources spent participating.

The program is intended for individuals who meet the following criteria:
-You have served in the U.S. military
-You are a beginner in data analysis and data visualization
-You have separated from the military or will do so by October 10th, 2025
-You are currently based in San Diego County, Orange County, Riverside County, or Imperial County in California

This September, Zero8Hundred was awarded and presented the U.S. Department of War [formerly Department of Defense] Spirit of Hope Award representing the U.S. Navy. The Spirit of Hope Award recognizes awardees who significantly enhance the quality of life for service members and families around the world and those who epitomize the values of Bob Hope: Duty, Honor, Courage, Loyalty, Commitment, Integrity, and Selfless Dedication.

Submitted in April of 2025, by Naval Base Point Loma and Command Navy Region Southwest, Zero8Hundred’s Military Transition Support Program was nominated for our overall mission and case management social work services that provide much needed support in “Mental Health & Su***de Prevention”, “Education”, “Employment”, “Basic Needs”, and “Social and “Community Connections”.

Represented by CEO Ashley Camac, Zero8Hundred was presented this award at a ceremony held at the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. “Zero8Hundred is extremely proud of the work we do each, and every day to support transitioning service members and their families. It is an absolute honor to represent the U.S. Navy as the 2025 Spirit of Hope Awardee”.

Thank you to the U.S. Department of War, U.S. Navy, Command Navy Region Southwest, and Naval Base Point Loma for recognizing the importance of the Zero8Hundred Program.

Zero8Hundred’s Peer Navigator Program provides support in employment, education, health and wellness, basic needs and social and community connections.

As a recipient of Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Su***de Prevention Grant Program, Zero8Hundred continues to employ a social work model and work alongside veterans during their transition to civilian life. Thanks to the Department of Veteran Affairs, Zero8Hundred and all grantees work together to prevent veteran su***de.
