Dr. Jennifer Mullan () acknowledges how difficult it is for people of color to NOT feel a great deal of “internal and external responsibility for the betterment of our communities.”

For Black healers, this responsibility is often taken on to the detriment of our own individual health.

Increasing our awareness and understanding of this cycle, as well as practicing affirmation and gratitude, can help us to feel more confident in maintaining our and holding onto our “individual truth, perspectives, experiences, light, and love.”
