🌳 Mulch Party – Phase 2: Let’s Finish the Job!

We’re back at it!

Join us on Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 AM as we continue our community effort to finish mulching the west end of Alta View Drive between Briarwood and S. Woodman.

In addition to completing the mulching along the tree-lined strip, we’ll also be working on the broader section at the west end of Alta View — preparing the area for something special:

🌿 A drought-tolerant planting palette designed to attract butterflies and create a beautiful pollinator haven for our community.

This next phase builds on the great work completed on March 28 — and we’d love your help to bring it across the finish line.

⭐ All Are Welcome

Even 30–60 minutes of your time makes a real difference.

✔ Breakfast Jacks (thanks to Jack in the Box!)

Let’s come together once again to beautify Alta View, support our young trees, and create a welcoming space for both people and pollinators.

🌳 Mulch Party This Saturday — Volunteers Still Needed!

Hi neighbors,

We’re getting ready for our Mulch Party this Saturday morning at 9:00 AM along Alta View Drive between Briarwood Rd and Woodman St, and we are still in need of volunteers.

We’ll be spreading mulch along the tree-lined strip between the sidewalk and the fence to help young trees thrive and to beautify our community.

In addition to mulching, there will be some planting of drought-tolerant plants

Everything we’re doing is to improve curb appeal, walkability, and community pride along Alta View.

✔ Breakfast Jacks generously provided by Jack-in-the-Box

🌳 Let’s Mulch Away — Volunteers Needed! 🌳

Join us as we work together to beautify the public right-of-way along Alta View Drive between Briarwood Rd and Woodman Street in South Bay Terraces.

The City and Caltrans have already planted numerous young trees along this stretch. Now it’s our turn to take it to the next level by spreading mulch along the tree-lined strip between the sidewalk and fence. This will help retain moisture, protect tree roots, improve curb appeal, and make the area more welcoming and walkable.

Looking for a meaningful way to kick off the holidays?
Join us on December 20th for a pre-holiday tree care & clean-up day along Paradise Valley Road. We’ll be caring for our trees (mulching around them), picking up litter, and lightly pulling weeds to give our neighborhood the TLC it deserves.

We’ll fuel up with breakfast first, provide tender-loving care to Paradise Valley Road, and finish with a holiday celebration!
All tools provided. Wear walking shoes, and use sun protection: sunscreen, a hat, and long sleeves.
