Antonyan Miranda LLP scholarships are presented to graduating students who have demonstrated a dedicated interest in family law through course work, internships, and volunteering in the community.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Today we would like to introduce you to Shamine Linton, the Founder of Sharia's Closet. 🦋 An establishment that started as a mere idea when Shamine was a child living in Jamaica, and noticed people's lack of life's basic necessities. Shamine, along with her family, began collecting, cleaning & sorting clothing in the garage of their home. 🧦👖👚
Sharia's Closet is now a non-profit organization in San Diego, whose vision is to empower people with clothes to promote self-esteem & self-identity. ✨ They create care packages for people's specific needs and include cheerful notes from Shamine's young daughter. 📝💕 An act of kindness that strongly resonated with our AM Community Service Committee, and so we decided to join hands & help collect donations for Shamine! 🛍

This month Antonyan Miranda, LLP is focusing on GIVING BACK, as one of our goals, is to help bring to inspirational charities. ✨ To encourage others to contribute back to society and meet new people along the way. 👥
Today, we would like to Jacqueline Huynh, who introduced our foundation to Outreach for Nazareth Orphanage. OFNO is a that supports fundraising and efforts to benefit the orphanage. 👦🏻 They provide a safe home environment for orphaned and at-risk young boys in Tecate, Mexico.
OFNO is in desperate need of DONATIONS to children from human trafficking, abuse, and further neglect. So we ask YOU to help us make a difference by sharing this post with your co-workers, and 🧡

Today AM Foundation would like to highlight Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego for having a great volunteer program. 👏🏻

Each month, hundreds of individuals share their time and talent to make sure families experience the comforts of home while caring for their hospitalized child. Thanks to their efforts, our AM Foundation was able to make Christmas crafts with the children. ☃️❄️

From making snowmen to snowflakes, it's safe to say everyone had a good time filling Ronald McDonald House with holiday spirit!🎄✨

This past Saturday AM Foundation volunteered for the Surfrider Foundation San Diego beach cleanup! Surfriders focus is 100% on protecting and preserving our ocean, beaches & waves. Thanks to their team our volunteers were able to support the San Diego chapter and help bring awareness to the issues facing our environment. "Throughout my law school career, I took advantage of every family law related class and honed my skills by taking only family law internships. Receiving this scholarship from one of the most reputable family law firms in San Diego was further confirmation that I had a future in family law.

I was awarded the scholarship during my last trimester of law school. By awarding me the Antonyan Miranda, LLP, Family Law Scholarship, AM lightened my financial burden which allowed me to focus on passing the most important exam of my life, the July 2018 California Bar Exam. Lightening this burden played an important role in me passing the California Bar Exam on the first attempt."
