👑 ATTENTION YOUNG WOMEN/GIRL MOMS! 👑
We are delighted to bring to town the Miss Alcoa Scholarship Pageant Program!!!
This will be a youth ambassadorship program. Young women from our community will compete in a scholarship pageant for the titles of Miss Alcoa, Teen Miss Alcoa and Jr. Miss ALcoa!
Age ranges:
Miss: 17-25
Teen: 13-16
Jr Miss: 10-12
This will be a WORKING title. What this means, is that titleholders will commit to serving a set number of community service hours throughout their reign. (Hours served dependent on age)
(* to be eligible, contestants must live or go to school in Alcoa/Maryville. College aged students attending college out of town may compete if they graduated from HS in Alcoa/Maryville or lived in Alcoa/Maryville during their senior year)
They will work numerous community service events with local churches, youth organizations, veteran associations and more. This is NOT a title only program.
The young women competing will attend multiple rehearsals to learn how to:
• Interview with a panel of judges
• Speak publicly
• Speech writing
• Other professional skills
On pageant day they will interview with a panel of judges, give a speech (behind a curtain), and dazzle us all with an onstage portion of the evening. This will include onstage questions and formal wear.
Winners will win scholarship funds, alongside other various prizes.
At this time, we are gathering interest to gauge the size of interested individuals. We are looking to have our inaugural titleholders compete and title in Spring 2025.

⚠️ I would like to make it abundantly clear that this will NOT be a beauty pageant. Size, race, social status, and expensive gowns will NOT dictate who titles in this program.
A panel of judges will interview and judge young women on their academic achievements, ability to interview, onstage presence (answering questions,etc.). There will be no swim wear, no talent portions. Pr***en contestants will not be allowed to wear heavy makeup, etc. This is to be an environment that uplifts and empowers young women.
