Join us November 8–9, 2025 at Park de la Cruz Gym for an exciting weekend of wheelchair basketball — hosted by Roll To Success! 💪

Five teams will hit the court, including your hometown San Diego Silverbacks, for two full days of competitive and inspiring basketball action! 🙌

📅 Game Schedule:
Saturday — 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Sunday — 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Come cheer, bring your family and friends, and witness the power of adaptive athletics in motion.

Presented by Roll To Success, benefiting our San Diego Silverbacks Wheelchair Basketball Team 💪

On Saturday, November 22, 2025 (9AM–5PM), we’re inviting local businesses, organizations, and community groups to take part in our Wheelchair 3-on-3 Community Challenge at Park de la Cruz (3911 Landis St, San Diego).

This event isn’t just about basketball — it’s about celebrating inclusion, teamwork, and resilience. Teams of 3 will compete in fun, friendly wheelchair basketball games (chairs provided), and every sponsored team will be paired with an experienced Silverbacks athlete who will serve as a coach or player throughout the challenge.

🌟 $500 to register a team
✅ All equipment and wheelchairs provided
✅ Automatic entry into our iPad raffle
✅ Option to set up a booth and share your business with the community
✅ Guidance from a Silverbacks athlete to make the experience unforgettable

This weekend’s Summer Games was truly a blast! We had a fantastic turnout, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who came out to participate, volunteer, and support the event.

A special thank you goes out to Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS) for their invaluable assistance throughout the weekend, and to Amy and the Sprouts team for generously providing lunch for all of our athletes and guests. Your contributions made a big difference in ensuring the event was a success.

We also want to recognize our incredible coaches—Jaime Baltazar, Tony Rubino, DE Mitchell, and Travis Pereira—for their outstanding volunteerism, leadership, and dedication to our athletes. You inspire us all with the time, passion, and energy you pour into these programs.

To our athletes—you were the heart of this weekend. The camaraderie, determination, and positive energy you brought to each game and activity was inspiring. Whether it was basketball, softball, football, or soccer, every moment showed the true spirit of teamwork and community.

From the cheers on the sidelines to the hustle on the court and field, this event was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Thank you all for showing up, showing out, and making our first-ever Summer Games an unforgettable experience.

What an incredible weekend at the Oceanside Beach Blast hosted by Triumph Foundation! 🏖️🏀

From adaptive sports tryouts to competitive matchups and everything in between — the energy was high and the fun nonstop! Our athletes had a blast and truly appreciated the opportunity to participate in such a well-organized and inclusive event.

A huge shoutout to Andrew, Randy, and the entire Triumph crew for putting together such a fantastic experience. Your attention to detail and smooth coordination didn’t go unnoticed. 🙌

And to the amazing volunteers — thank you! Your support and positive energy helped everything run seamlessly and made a big difference for all involved.

We’re grateful for the invite and look forward to future collaborations! 💪♿

🌟 Our First Summer Games Was a Success! 🌟

We are beyond proud of our very first Summer Games! The turnout was incredible, with five strong teams competing and giving it their all. The energy was high, the competition was fierce, and every athlete put on a show — truly showing what adaptive sports are all about. 🏀💪

A huge thank you to all the players who showed up and showed out, bringing passion and determination to the court. 🙌

Over the past year, we’ve been building something special: a wheelchair softball program right here in San Diego. Thanks to the dedication and passion of our coaches, Jaime Baltazar and Tony Rubino, this vision has turned into reality. Their commitment, leadership, and countless volunteer hours are the driving force behind the Rolling Padres — a team that represents perseverance, inclusion, and community pride.

We’re now inviting the San Diego community and local businesses to be part of this journey. Whether through support, sponsorship, or simply showing up to cheer, your involvement will help us grow adaptive sports and provide opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
