Amateurpianists.org is very proud to announce that its Chair, Sonya Schumann, has won the prestigious 2026 "Yamaha 40 Under 40 Award for Excellence in Music Education". This highly competitive award (there were hundreds of nominees) is awarded to individuals who consistently go "above and beyond" in teaching, and advancing music education in their studios, classrooms, institutions, and communities.
