Thank you for your article that covered the benefits of real estate charitable donations. What a gift this could be for both donors and public charities like ours! We are preparing our foundation to receive such a gift in the future so it definitely helped to lay the groundwork. Through
direct gifts of real estate to 501(c)3 public charities donors could take advantage of some really great benefits:

• Avoid paying capital gains tax on the sale of the real estate;
• Receive a charitable income tax deduction based on fair market value of the property;
• Increase your income for retirement with a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust;
• Complement the unique advantages of your private foundation;
• Make a greater philanthropic impact; and
• Leave a lasting legacy for you and your family.

What this looks like: a scheduled time block for reflection and personal growth, helping to remove barriers or resistance in mom’s life, encouraging creative activities and allowing the time to execute them.

Dear Sports Leagues and Sports Clubs,

I write this on behalf of hardworking parents, especially moms. Please do your best to refrain from scheduling sports games and tournaments on Mother’s Day. That is not how most of us want to spend Mother’s Day. Every other week of the year we do our very best to get them to practice throughout the week (usually twice a week per sport per kid) and their weekend games and tournaments. In exchange, we ask for holidays, typically intended to be spent with family, to be honored.

Furthermore, when we choose to exclude our child when you do schedule on Mother’s Day, please don’t send nasty emails about our children’s lack of dedication to their team/sport.

Sincerely,

A working mom who wants to choose how to spend Mother’s Day

Just thinking out loud.

How about supporting working families by aligning the workday and the school day?? Who makes that decision? Do we need to start a petition??

We’re thinking 6 hour days might be a good place to start?

Speaking on behalf of working moms who would love to have both a career and a family but feel at the mercy of employers stuck in antiquated mindsets that inhibit the growth of both businesses and families!

Working together we can find solutions that better suit all our needs 🤍 . If you feel this, like and share to get the idea planted wherever it needs to grow 🌱.
