Pangea is an independent community-based collective from, but not limited to, the border region of Tijuana, Mexico/San Diego, U.S.A. formed by local artists, musicians, and critical thinkers focused on the foremost purpose of promoting unity through art, music, & culture. During these recent times we have become more alert and have grown increasingly aware of the many issues that have a negative i
mpact on our communities such as: ignorance (in its many faces), conformity, assimilation, violence, hypocrisy, control of the media, the elite, the corporations, environmental pollution, false authorities, and lack of education among many others. We have found that one very useful step to begin combating these matters is encouraging growth in global communities between people all over the world focused on the promotion of more and more conscious-minded projects throughout. More specifically, this concept of Pangea was born early in 2002 when we began the production of our first creation, a Pangea Event. Pangea grew from producing events (art exhibitions, screenings, concerts) in the beginning to producing informative leaflets for protests and designs for stencil work, silk-screening posters, stickers, prints, & apparel in support of street activism. And now presently, our mission to unite the world has directed us towards creating this website specifically dedicated to uniting the world through art, music, & culture. Pangeaunite is the only online social networking website for art, music, & culture enthusiasts, organizers, communities, and conscious-minded individuals of the world. Symbolizing the union of Pangea, we would like to showcase a mixture of artistic expressions from various cultures. We are focused on guiding the Pangeaunite website toward a higher level of community involvement and social consciousness on a global scale for not only experienced artists, but the communities and beginning/independent artists of the world as well.
