This past weekend in Del Mar was filled with Halloween fun. On Saturday, more than 150 local children and their families attended the Seaside Spooktacular on Del Mar Plaza's Ocean View Deck. Activities included face painting, a clown, a magician, the Del Mar Library’s “Trick or Read” table, along with participation from several of the Plaza’s businesses including Camino Books, Yoga Barre, and others

On Sunday, the dogs of Del Mar, together with their people, headed over to Powerhouse Park for the annual Halloween Dog Parade. The park was filled so many creative costumes, it really was difficult for the judges to pick the winners. Thanks to Dexter's Deli for providing treats for all the dogs who were there.

Last night was our final Summer Twilight Concert for 2025. And what a fantastic night it was! Taryn Donath Trio with Laura Chavez hit the stage and got the capacity crowd absolutely fired up. Then Billy Nation: A Tribute to Billy Joel played a blistering set of Billy Joel tunes, all while the sun went down and the audience danced the night away. The 2025 concerts were so much fun, we'll have to do it again in 2026.

THANK YOU to the concert sponsors and DMF's donors for your support. We would not be able to present such an amazing series of concerts to the community, free of charge, without your generosity. The 2025 Summer Twilight Concerts sponsors are: Rande Turner Collective, Capstone Advisors, Poseidon Restaurant Del Mar, Jake's Del Mar, Coral Del Mar, Del Mar Car Care, Monarch Ocean Pub, D' Arcy Capital, and Sharon & Richard Bockoff.

An album with more photos will be added to our website soon.

How not to worry about a tsunami: Bring together two spectacular musical performances - T.A. Tomlinson and The Mighty Untouchables - at the best park, with the best weather, and 3,000 of your friends, and rock the night away. For good measure, invite Tris Imboden, longtime drummer for the band Chicago as well as studio drummer for Kenny Loggins' "Footloose" (plus much more) to join the band to play the song.

Thank you to DMF's donors and Summer Twilight Concerts sponsors who make these concerts possible. Thank you also to the City of Del Mar for all you do before, during, and after each of these concerts. And thank you to all those who donate raffle prizes and the attendees who purchase raffle tickets.

2025 Summer Twilight Concerts sponsors: Jake's Del Mar, Poseidon Restaurant Del Mar, Coral Del Mar, Rande Turner Collective, Monarch Ocean Pub, Del Mar Car Care, Capstone Advisors, D'Arcy Capital, Sharon & Richard Bockoff.

The Fourth of July Parade and Celebration at Powerhouse Park this morning was so much fun that one social media posting of photos won't suffice. Here is the first batch. More to follow tomorrow, and then more again on Sunday. And then next week we'll add even more to a photo album on our website.
