The Youth Advocacy Coalition, also known as YAC, is a group of young people who focus on alcohol and drug abuse prevention. The coalition has chapters in Escondido, Fallbrook and San Marcos. Our Mission
We work to reduce youth access to alcohol and other drugs in Escondido, Fallbrook and San Marcos, using environmental prevention strategies to change social norms and policies. The coali

tion has partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving on Sticker Shock campaigns, organized media events, conducted environmental assessments at alcohol retailers, participated in local DUI checkpoints, National Night Out events and National Prescription Drug Take Back Days, and presented information about drug- and alcohol-related issues to local city councils, the Fallbrook Healthcare District's board of directors, and other governing bodies. Our Story

Who We Are The Youth Advocacy Coalition, also known as YAC, is a group of young people trying to prevent alcohol and drug abuse among their peers. The coalition has chapters in Escondido, Fallbrook and San Marcos. Our Mission We work to reduce youth access to alcohol and other drugs in Escondido, Fallbrook and San Marcos, using environmental prevention strategies to change social norms and policies. The coalition has partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving on Sticker Shock campaigns, organized media events that promote prevention messages, conducted environmental assessments at liquor stores and other alcohol retailers, participated in DUI checkpoints, National Night Out events and National Prescription Drug Take Back Days, conducted neighborhood safety perception surveys, and presented information about drug- and alcohol-related issues to local city councils, the Fallbrook Regional Health District's board of directors, and other elected officials. Sponsors MHS/North Inland Community Prevention Program (NICPP) is our main sponsor. NICPP is funded in part by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Services.
