RESULTS: SAN VICENTE – 7/19/26 – TOURNAMENT #5
Tournament #5 is officially in the books, and with it, the 2026 regular season has come to a close!
It was a hot and muggy summer day in San Diego, with bright sunshine and very little cloud cover. As San Diego's last remaining "large" tournament lake, and the only local lake open to party and wake boats, San Vicente was definitely showing the effects of heavy recreational traffic as everyone looked to enjoy a day on the water.
Reports from around the lake indicated the bite was inconsistent throughout the day. While quite a few fish were caught, quality once again proved to be the challenge. Anglers found success using a variety of techniques, but the better fish seemed to come from drop-shotting points.
Congratulations to our Tournament Champion, Luke Fleming, who continues to represent the "younger brother" crew in impressive fashion! Luke brought the only bag over 10 pounds to the scales, weighing 10.94 pounds, anchored by the tournament's second-largest fish at 3.85 pounds.
Although Luke edged out his older brother Jack for the win, Jack certainly didn't leave empty-handed. He claimed Big Fish honors with a solid 4.02-pound bass, which also helped him secure 2nd Place with a five-fish limit weighing 9.52 pounds.
Rounding out the Top 3 was Bryce Deheyn, who weighed in a five-fish limit totaling 8.27 pounds.
Congratulations to all of our top finishers and to every angler who came out to compete this season!
As always, a huge THANK YOU goes out to our incredible volunteer boaters. Your generosity, time, and dedication are what make our club and tournaments possible. We truly appreciate everything you do for our youth anglers.
With the regular season complete, we now look forward to celebrating another great year together. Our End-of-Year Banquet is scheduled for Friday, August 7, and all of our boaters, families, and supporters are invited to attend. Be on the lookout for invitations and additional details coming soon!
