Citizens Climate Lobby - Wasatch Front

Citizens Climate Lobby - Wasatch Front The Salt Lake City chapter is one of over 590 CCL chapters committed to enacting federal "carbon fee and dividend" legislation.

Learn more about what you can do by coming to one of our monthly meetings. Visit 'Events' to find more information. In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of our Carbon Fee and Dividend proposal we train and support volunteers to build relationships with elected officials, the media and their local community.

I sure miss the Utah summers from when I first moved here in 2001. Night time temperatures almost always got down into the 60s. My house didn't even have air conditioning when I bought it because you could always open the windows at night and cool the house down. Not anymore. It hasn't been in the 60s for weeks now and its only mid-July. And with all the wildfire smoke, you don't dare open your windows. Karen is right.... we need bipartisan solutions to protect our climate and our summers before things get any worse.

With triple-digit temperatures and smoke in the air, it’s getting hard to enjoy Utah’s natural landscape.

Senator John Curtis celebrated the 250th anniversary of the USA by hiking 250 miles while talking with his constituents. CCL was proud to join him on a section of the hike where many good conversations about climate and policy took place. It is nice to have a Senator willing to spend time listening to the concerns of his constituents!
