What energy do you bring to a room?

Choreographer Hélène Simoneau brings a grounded openness.

During the creation of Where No Storms Come, process turned into flow. Standing barefoot on the Marley floor, Hélène tapped into the dancers energies, the evocation of the music, and leaned on her collaborator and composer Katie Jenkins .

During an interview, Katie shared more about the collaborative process of this ballet saying “It was really an amazing collaboration. She [Hélène] didn’t overly prepare and I mean that in the best way. She was building it in the room. And she would ask me ‘what do you think about this’ or ‘what about this’. And because of that, the musicians were watching the dancers, and we were building things in real time together. That allowed us to focus on feeling and emotion.”

This openness to collaboration in real time built the grounds of a truly remarkable, truly original ballet.

See its stage debut with live music October 18 at the stunning Balboa Theatre.

NEW ARTIST // Louise Hautefeuille 🩰

Joining Pointeworks for the first time for the program of COMPOSITIONS is Louise Hautefeuille!

Louise is a 24-year-old French-American dancer currently freelancing in Boston. Hautefeuille joined Boston Ballet at age 17, spending six seasons with the company, the last two as a Second Soloist. During her time there she performed featured roles in The Sleeping Beauty, William Forsythe’s Approximate Sonata, Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Apollo, as well as Nissinen’s Swan Lake, among a broad range of classical and contemporary works.

This past year she performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy in Tony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and a current EMT license. On top of freelancing she currently works as an EMT at Mass General Brigham’s.

We are thrilled to have Louise join us for the rehearsals and performance of COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins, a groundbreaking program in both dance and music set for October 18.

Welcome to the Pointeworks family Louise! We can’t wait to dance with you ⭐️

One might say… electric ⚡️

Excerpt from Spillover by the one and only Keerati Jinakunwiphat - created and debuted in June 2026.

Incredible and expressive dancers Isabella Seo and brothers Marcos Ramirez and Angel Ramirez

Music by award-winning composer Katya Richardson

Original costumes by the fabulous designer Susan Roemer / S-Curve Apparel & Design

This contemporary ballet is set in three parts all brought together through the theme of emotional regulation. Using ballet foundations, Keerati melds contemporary movement with technicality to create seamless yet complex sequences that seem to mesmerize.

Keerati’s connection to composer Katya started the works’ initial spark and cultivated a close connection between music and choreography. The two came together creating a truly unique and innovative Pointeworks commission.
