Explore the perspectives of three women choreographers and their creative minds in the form of 3 ballets on October 18. Chasing Shadows by Laine Habony explores sisterhood, Moving Forces by Jacquelyn Long Vazakas embodies the elements, and Where No Storms Come by Hélène Simoneau represents emotional relationships in states of calm.

Opening the floor to Marcos Ramirez

Cuban ballet dancer and lead with Los Angeles Ballet, Marcos brings his passion for dance to Pointeworks.

After a successful debut in June, Ramirez returns for Compositions in the World Premiere of Where No Storms Come by Hélène Simoneau along with his brother Angel Ramirez and three female dancers.

Marcos’ artistry he brings to every step makes his dancing truly captivating. We’re glad to have you on the team Marcos!

The connection is unreal. And it’s only day 3.

Rehearsals have begun for our Fall Season 2026! 🍂 Dancers Rayleigh Vendt and Kyle Torres-Hiyoshi rehearse the Water pas de Deux from Moving Forces, choreography by Jacquelyn Long- making it look effortless already.

Moving Forces is one of the 3 ballets created in collaboration with composer Katie Jenkins that will be performed with live music at the Balboa Theatre on October 18. We hope to see you there to experience this rare program in Compositions.
