Cash the 🐾 kitten needs our kokua! Please help us save Cash's life by donating to her surgery which is scheduled for today, June 2nd!

DONATION LINK ON OUR STORY AND IN THE COMMENTS!

🐈 Cash's Situation:

DIAGNOSIS: Recurring Urinary Obstructions

TREATMENT: Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) with Hospitalization

PROCEDURE COST ESTIMATE: $5,802

FACE Pledge: $4,000

Cash, a beloved domestic shorthair, is more than just a pet to his military family; he's a cherished companion, a future "big brother," and a source of immeasurable joy. For his mom, who's currently unemployed and expecting their first child, and active-duty Army dad, Cash is an integral part of their growing family.

However, Cash's diagnosis is life-threatening without surgery.

Cash has recurring and potentially fatal urinary obstructions. He's already endured four of these terrifying emergencies, each requiring costly veterinary interventions that have completely depleted his family's limited funds. Without a crucial, life-saving surgery, Cash faces an uncertain future, and his family is heartbroken at the thought of losing their "lovable and energetic baby."

Your donation of any size will help Cash live a full, healthy life, and will give this military family more time with their cherished feline.

Another life saved and wonderful success story from our Save-A-Life Program here on Oahu!

Sasha a 9-year-old Terrier mix was diagnosed with a condition called pyometra and needed an ovariohysterectomy procedure. Sasha has been by her dad’s side through every high and low. As he faces the challenges of homelessness and financial hardship, she gives him love, comfort, and a reason to keep going, even on the hardest days.

FACE was able to pledge $1700.00 to Sasha's procedure at Aloha Affordable Veterinary Service

Aloha Affordable Veterinary Service Update: “Sasha did amazing for her surgery, and recovery is going great! Thank you all!!”

Great job Sasha and we wish you a speedy recovery and many more memories with your dad.

If you want to help us save more of our furry family members on Oahu please consider donating to our Save-A-Life program on our website https://face4pets.org/hawaii/

FACE Hawaii would like to welcome Randy Gonce as our new Hawaii Program Director at FACE Hawaii! Having a dedicated director on island will enable FACE Hawaii to better serve Hawaii's families in need and have a constant community presence.

Randy brings extensive experience in service to the Oahu community in nonprofit and public sectors. Randy has worked on issues such as homelessness, environmental protection, and advocating for Hawaii's low income families.

Randy also has a personal connection to FACE Hawaii's mission. Years ago Randy found a tumor in his dog Tara's mouth. The tumor was life threatening and Tara needed surgery to remove it. Faced with the high cost of treatment Randy had to rely on fundraising and community support to save Tara's life. He was successful and Tara has fully recovered. She is now 15 years old and living out her best old dog years!

"I am so excited to be a part of FACE Hawaii. The mission of FACE Hawaii is near and dear to me as I had to raise money to save my dogs life. FACE Hawaii was not operating on our islands at the time but I was so fortunate to have the support of my friends and community. Not all families have this kind of support due to our high cost of living state. That’s were FACE comes in. I can't wait to be a part of the solution for Hawaii's families in need." - Randy Gonce

FACE Hawaii had the best time at the 2024 Pet Expo in Honolulu! Hosted by , this event brought together thousands of pets and their humans for a day of fun and learning. From exploring new pet foods and products to seeking expert advice at the Ask-a-Vet booth, attendees had a blast connecting with businesses and animal welfare charities. 🐾

Our Executive Director, Stash McCollough, alongside FACE board member and veterinarian Dr. Erika Sox, joined forces with Hawaii veterinary partners to showcase FACE’s mission. It was an incredible opportunity to introduce FACE to pet owners and fellow animal welfare organizations, strengthening our relationships and paving the way for more lifesaving care for pets in need! 💛✨

Say hi to this precious 12 year old who desperately needed a FHO, which is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a damaged hip. Mup’s adoring mother just graduated with her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently interning, while simultaneously battling health concerns. She found herself in a bind knowing her fur baby was in pain and couldn’t afford the treatment needed for Mup. Luckily she was pointed to FACE for emergency funding to ensure Mup was no longer in pain and we cannot thank enough. We are thrilled that Mup’s road to recovery is looking bright, right by his Mama’s side! 🌸🐾💚
