Meet The 17!

Yes… 17 puppies!

Their mama slipped out of her yard and returned with quite the surprise. She later gave birth to an incredible litter of 7 girls and 10 boys. Their family turned to the County for help, and after Mama was spayed, the County asked Mission Bay Puppy Rescue to help find loving homes for all 17 of her babies.

These adorable cattle dog mixes are about 7 weeks old and will be ready for adoption once they have been spayed and neutered. They are playful, curious, sweet, and growing more confident every day.

Seventeen little lives, seventeen fresh starts, and seventeen forever families waiting to find their new best friend.

These puppies are available starting this Saturday, July 18th, 2026. YOU MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!

At just 7 weeks old, Yankee and Cadet are curious, playful Australian Cattle Dog mix puppies with big hearts and even bigger personalities. They’re soaking up every cuddle, play session, and new experience as they get ready to meet the families they’ll call their own.

URGENT
8 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED BY MONDAY, JULY 6!

Mission Bay Puppy Rescue is preparing to take in a very large litter of 17 adorable 7-week-old Cattle Dog puppies, and we urgently need 8 local foster homes to help us save them!
Each foster will take two puppies, with one foster home possibly taking three. Keeping the puppies in pairs helps them feel safe, comfortable, and less lonely during this transition.

What does this entail?

- Foster commitment: Approximately two weeks
- Fosters must work from home or be home most of the day
- Must live in Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, or Clairemont
- We provide all food, supplies, bedding, pens, and support
- Puppies will need to enter foster homes beginning Monday, July 6

These babies are only seven weeks old and need safe, loving homes where they can play, sleep, grow, and prepare for adoption. Fostering two puppies is twice the cuddles, twice the entertainment, and an incredible way to help us save an entire litter!
