From ID Bank intakes to TSC check outs, our dedicated staff ensure dignity-centered service to every client. “It’s the people. Think Dignity treats me with respect—they care.”

Our ID Bank provides access to vital documents like IDs, birth certificates, and social security cards.

The Transitional Storage Center, located at 252 16th Street, offers 400 secure bins and lockers providing safe storage of belongings for those experiencing homelessness.

Today at Dreams for Change, our ID Bank team met one-to-one with community members to help replace vital documents, navigate barriers, and connect people with support. What may seem like a simple conversation at a table can often be the first step toward housing, employment, healthcare, benefits, and stability.

Behind every ID replaced is a person working to move forward — and someone willing to sit beside them with patience, empathy, and respect.

We’re grateful to our staff, volunteers, and partners who continue showing up for our community with humanity at the center of the work. Because dignity is not just a service; it’s how we treat people.

👐Your hands can help: 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆!

Think Dignity provides hygiene kits to people experiencing homelessness at our Street Boutique and Distribution events. These kits are critical in restoring dignity and ensuring people have the necessary supplies to care for themselves, even in challenging situations.

Volunteers will assemble these kits for future distribution. This is a great opportunity to support hundreds of community members and connect with other volunteers in the process!

We’re looking for a volunteer to help lead Think Dignity’s social media.

This isn’t just posting content; we’re looking for someone who can help us tell our story, elevate the voices of our community, and grow our reach with intention.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼:
• Support content planning and scheduling
• Create graphics incorporating TD photos and brand assets
• Draft captions and shape messaging
• Identify opportunities to engage our audience
• Collaborate with our Communications Committee

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂:
• Have experience managing or contributing to social media accounts
• Are a strong writer with an eye for tone and audience
• Care about community impact and ethical storytelling
• Can commit a few hours each week

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
• This is a 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 role (no compensation or employment relationship)
• Must be available for committee meetings (1st & 3rd Fridays, 12:30–1:30 PM PT)
• Based in San Diego and able to occasionally attend local outreach and events
