🧾Proof That YOU are Making an Impact!❤️

A few weeks ago we asked you all to help us in our mission of improving reading and math scores for the kids at Paradise Hills Elementary. We asked y’all to help us by making donations for cool prizes the kids could win if they hit those goals.

The help you guys gave us was truly exceptional!! 🥹Gift cards, skateboards, and bikes were able to be given to the kids who worked the hardest on their reading and math over the summer. Motivating these kids to improve is not possible without the support from amazing donors like YOU. 🫵 Thank you so much everyone who supports. Thank you soooo much to everyone who came out to enjoy the watch party with us!!!! We had such an amazing time hanging out with everyone and watching the game!!!

All the Bell Blazers came out with their families to watch with us 🥹!! Both the WPBL and the Bell Blazers are truly making history with the athletic journeys they are on!! Anvil of Hope could not be more proud to be supporting these talented young athletes and this amazing community!! Tomorrow after work you guys should come and join us down at AleSmith for a Women’s Pro Baseball League watch party 👀.

It starts at 4:30pm! We’ll have some of the best beer in the city being served by Brewing Company and some awesome members of the community will be hanging out like the Bell Blazers!! These girls are making history as future WPBL prospects, so you may want an autograph while they’re still easy to get!! Stop by, relax, chat it up with your neighbors, and enjoy some sports with us!! ⚾️ 📺

⚾️Our Baseball Bash Was a Home Run!!🏟️

We feel sorry for anyone who missed this year’s MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run event!!! It was a complete BLAST full of fun in the sun. ☀️ We had food, games, prizes, we even had former Padre Jerald Clark out there watching the young athletes and giving tips!! 😱 It was a complete success you guys, we knocked it out of the park again!! 👏

We want to thank everyone who came out to spend time with us and congratulations to all of our winners!!! Thank you so much to the vendors Dave & Buster's, Tacossiquemancuh, BTS Facepainting, KPTZ Photobooth, our DJ Rashawn Cherestal and The Boys and Girls Scouts of America for helping bring the fun to the event!! Also a HUGEEE thank you to all of our donors and volunteers. These events are simply not possible without you guys!! The support you offer is always appreciated in ways words cannot fully express. 🙏Calling the Community to Help One of Our Own! 🙏

Hello everyone!! One of the girls from our very own mentorship program just achieved a huge milestone with her family, they got their own apartment!!! This family was previously stuck renting a room but now they have a space to call their own!!! 🥹

We want to help welcome them to their new home like we’ve done in the past, with furniture items that they desperately need. We are calling out to our amazing community to help us achieve this goal. We have linked a Target wishlist of items the family is in need of. If you are able to donate gift cards or funds to Anvil of Hope, we can help welcome them together. We know times are hard, however times will only get harder if we aren’t there for each other as a community 💪. We can all be a part of something bigger, a part of hope. ❤️

⚾️Anvil of Hope’s Baseball Bash!!⚾️

It’s time for one of our biggest community events of the summer!! The MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run!! We are calling ALL baseball enthusiasts 14 and under to see how well YOU🫵 match up in pitching, running, and hitting! There are raffles for PRIZES 😱, and the best scores have a chance to move on to Regionals and possibly the World Series!!!! There will of course also be food, games, face painting, and more!!!

ITS ALL FREE AS WELL GUYS, but if anyone is willing and able to donate please do at AnvilofHope.org/Donate🤗!! The community’s donations, YOUR donations, are how we continue to put on events like this!! The event starts at 9AM, but check in starts at 8:30 so get there early!!! ⏱️

Every kid who joins will receive:
🍔 A FREE lunch voucher

A lot of people have heard the phrase, “it takes a village”. However, I’m sure there are a bunch of us who aren’t feeling the village we always hear about. We’ve been changing that by stepping up! Since 2020, we’ve donated toys, hygiene products, school supplies, clothing, meals, financial contributions, and so much more to community centers that need them. A community that supports each other is important!

❤️A Special Thank You to Divergent Improv❤️

We need to let you all know about an amazing group called Divergent Improv!! They’ve been doing improv events at AleSmith for a while now, without asking for fees. They instead ask people who go to donate to groups like us at Anvil of Hope who help give back to the community. 🫶🥰

They are an amazing group, led by an amazing woman Victoria Koenitzer! Who spends her time trying to uplift those around her through entertainment and community support. Groups like hers help fund all the amazing programs and events we do for the kids and the community. Please give her and her group some love and be sure to check out any future events they have🫶❤️! 📚📕Reading Regurlarly Refines Robust Reasoning!📗📚

Reading is an important part of the development of any child. A household that reads sets up strong reading habits that build intelligent and thoughtful members in their community. According to the National Literacy Institute, 20% of adults in the U.S. are illiterate. 40% of students cannot read at a basic level. One of the things that impact a child’s ability to read the most is their income level.

Anvil of Hope is committed to doing our part in making sure the kids in our community have the tools they need to succeed. Succeeding is a lot harder if you have trouble reading!! So, we are hoping to raise funds to help with summer math and reading incentives. This is in order to give the kids from Paradise Hills Elementary a goal to look towards as they continue their reading journey. We want to get our readers some cool prizes such as bikes, gift cards, toys, and more in order to help motivate them!!
