Up next for our is She has a room located inside of liv fit gym facility on aero drive. One of our team members is a regular! “I got a custom massage with cupping. I really wanted to get shout her out because she’s the best massage therapist I’ve ever had and she’s still relatively new to it. She pays insane attention to detail due to her growing up playing sports and she’s really knowledgeable about the body. She shows me different stretches to try every time I go see her.” Clearly she is a highly recommended therapist so if you’re thinking of getting a massage and want someone tried and true give a shout!

Up next for our is .books. Located in North Park this woman owned book store offers a variety of books for all readers - adults, teens, and kids! This book store also offers new and used books which is a great option for students who need required reading books and don’t have $ to buy new. We were able to give a new home to some used books for a fraction of the price of online and chain bookstore options. There’s also several couches and benches to sit and check out books before you buy or to relax and read after purchasing your books. If you’re in the neighborhood this is a great local owned book store to check out!

Next up for our we want to shoutout award winning author S. A. Cosby. We received 3 of his books as a gift and we highly recommend! He is versed and award winning in multiple genres including fantasy, horror, and crime fiction so this is an author you definitely want to check out! He does a great job of expressing characters feelings/emotions from a Black perspective in a relatable way which is often something lacking from mainstream book choices. These books continually seem to get better as you continue reading and the build up to the plot of his stories entice you to keep reading.

Additionally he does a great job exploring complex issues that are relevant to previous generations and today’s society. This is also a great reminder that when it comes to banned books, more authors of color are feeling the impact so it’s extremely important to support AND recommend Black authors we love. Check him out on IG and look out for his book “Razorblade Tears” coming to a screen near you!

Next up for our share the love event we highlight Black author he has released his own sci-fi book “A Necessary Chaos” which features spies and forbidden love. Next up for our Black Titan 🖤⚡️ we visited .cafe located in La Mesa and WOW. If you plan to do breakfast or coffee on Valentine’s Day or love the color pink or just enjoy delicious coffee & food you’ve gotta check them out! Great photo ops with a flower wall and a telephone prop. We highly recommend getting a horchata latte or ask them to make you a horchata cold brew. This is a great option to pop into a small local owned coffee shop with friendly owners for your daily coffee! We love supporting small local minority owned businesses such as this one.

First up for our Black Titan 🖤⚡️ we visited NEW WAVES SCRUBS located at 16385 Bernardo Center Dr, San Diego, CA 92128. This minority & woman owned business has been providing medical attire to the local community and have been in the medical field for 15+ years! They’re very friendly and knowledgeable & with a clean and organized store it’s a great place to go stock up on outfits for those in the medical field! We’re excited to launch our event for the month of February! All February long we will be visiting and highlighting local minority owned businesses in San Diego. Our goal is to redirect and invest in local community members by supporting their businesses.

YOU can help us make a difference 🚨 by joining in on the event and supporting local small minority owned businesses. Simply visit or patron any minority business and tag us with the hashtag All followers who have joined in on our event will be added into a raffle for a free Black Titan hoodie! A winner will be picked on March 1st so join us in our mission to help directly impact our community and support minority business owners. Cheers to spreading the love all February long 🖤⚡️

It’s that time of the year again for our 5th annual coat and blanket drive! We are less than 2 weeks away from our event! Please consider supporting us at our local giveback (ways listed above). We are still accepting donations (can arrange pickups for donations in SD area) and still looking for volunteers to help us pass out supplies so if you’re available next Saturday come join us in spreading some holiday cheer! 🖤⚡️

EVENT RECAP 🚨🖤⚡️

A little Saturday throwback to our 4th annual coat and blanket drive! Due to your generous monetary and clothing donations we were able to help spread some warmth to folks in downtown San Diego this winter. Something as simple as a hot plate of food, hygiene kits, a friendly conversation and a warm blanket goes a long way in making those currently experiencing homelessness feel empowered to continue forward. Even at our lowest point we are all worthy of basic necessities, assistance from others, and compassion. Please always consider donating to your local nonprofits whenever you can to help us create a larger impact year round for those in need. Thank you to each and every one of you who gave your money, time, and/or items. We’re gearing up for our next event so be on the lookout!
