Since this is our first post as Someday Refuge, I thought I'd share the meaning behind our logo. Special thanks to Gijo Tirado for his creativity and professionalism!
At the center top of this mark is Christ, represented by the fish symbol, which shows He is the origin of feeding multitudes, and call us all to be "fishers of men" and women. The mark design is a seasonal Oak Tree, found widespread throughout the world. the Oak is a tree that is known for its endurance and strength. This symbol reflects the seasonal aspect of renewal, and is shown here as rooted near "living waters" for its growth. The limbs of the oak show the family of Christ, reminding us that we are never alone in this world, and that the Church is our gifted family. The Oak provides shade and rest. It is also referred to in Isaiah 6:13 "...Bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor."
All of this describes the foundation of our faith but our prayer for our guests and those we mentor and coach. Do you know a missionary or ministry leader who is weary and burdened? Tell them about Someday Refuge! LINK BELOW
