Come by the **San Diego Herpetological Society Yard Sale** and see what you might find!

We'll also be sharing information about - reptile adoption and rehoming through SDHS, and you'll have a chance to meet a few snakes currently in need of good homes. 🐍❤️

🐢 Alligator Snapping Turtle Conservation & Research Talk!

Join the San Diego Herpetological Society for our August meeting as we welcome Andrew Holzinger, Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, for a closer look at the conservation ecology of the Alligator Snapping Turtle (Macrochelys temminckii).

The Alligator Snapping Turtle (Macrochelys temminckii) is the largest freshwater turtle in North America—a prehistoric-looking predator inhabiting the rivers, swamps, and waterways of the southeastern United States.

But despite its formidable appearance and ancient lineage, this remarkable species faces serious conservation challenges.
