Aloha Kuanaʻike community 🌺

It has been about two months since we gathered at Spirit Fest, and we are still carrying the spirit, connection, and aloha from that weekend.

One of the most powerful moments of Spirit Fest 2025 was welcoming the Tibetan Monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery to Oʻahu, where they created a sand mandala and shared in a beautiful cultural exchange with Hawaiian elders, Kahu, and community leaders.

That sacred moment is now becoming a film.

When the Mountain Met the Ocean, directed by Ramy Mam in partnership with Kuanaʻike Films, explores ceremony, culture, impermanence, sovereignty, and what it means to stay rooted when the world around us shifts.

The film has already been filmed, edited, and submitted to HIFF as a work in progress. Now we need support to help finish the final post-production details.

We are 90% of the way there.

Profound and beautiful words by Papali’i Dr. Tusi. Right now! Today, is the time to do everything you can with Aloha and to send that Aloha throughout the world. If you are in agreement then let’s get busy.
Not everybody will agree (as Jesus experienced in his final week) but he pressed forward anyway knowing his fate.
Those that welcomed him waving their palms and laying out the garments were also the very ones a few days later shouting “crucify him!”
Choose you this day whom you will serve!!
I choose to be of service by practicing Christ consciousness; by putting this love to action; by becoming the love Christ taught us to imbue; by living my life with deep Aloha!! My purpose in life is Aloha! Through Aloha I align myself with the way of Christ.

Within this BEing, within this consciousness of Aloha there Is no room to wish for others to suffer! There is no room to wish for nations to cease! There is no room to trample upon the rights and lives of others! This is not actions of Aloha.
