I wrote this 5 years ago to try and Thank so many people listed and not listed…. I appreciate you all that came out to support this family and love all of you!
Note from the Hollander Family,
This chapter in our lives is one I would not want anyone to go through....but they do,
unfortunately. Everyday a parent loses a son or daughter, a sibling loses a brother or sister, Aunts and Uncles lose niecesand nephews, Grandparents lose grandsons andgranddaughters, and soulmates lose each other. There are no words that can comfort, no “timeheals”, no “the days will get better” because a part of our being in no longer with us physically....and that hurts, not like “ow” that hurt, but deep down gut wrenching hurt. The tears come daily, and at times we don’t expect them, the thoughts are continuous, the want to know the outcome of a story we helped write but will forever be unfinished is difficult to put into words. The holidays will be different, the birthdays will come and go quicker, but there will
always be a place in our hearts for Ethan. What can we do? We can hold and hug each other tightly we can laugh and enjoy each other but still miss Ethan. It happens and will happen for the rest of our lives. We can live life fully, we can make sure that the moments we have with people we love are unbelievable and know that we support and holdup family and friends. Take the time to enjoy and appreciate each other, be considerate to those who are having a tough time, recognize the effort it takes them to live their life the way they do.
Just a huge amount of appreciation for the time you spent thinking of us as well as the support and cards, flowers and dinners!
We want to express gratitude to the people that contributed their time, efforts thoughts and prayers for us. Thank you!
