Something new is coming to San Diego's philanthropy scene, and it's got a little edge to it.

Kids 'N Kicks: The Charity Classic is OAK's newest fundraising event, hosted in partnership with University Club San Diego on September 26th. Think elevated cuisine, live music, exclusive auction experiences, and skyline views all in support of children and families navigating childhood cancer.

There’s something about a campfire. 🔥

Last night at Family & Bereavement Camp, we gathered around the fire.

Some came to reconnect. Some came carrying memories of someone they love. Some came to laugh with old friends and make new ones. And some simply came to sit beside people who understand.

That is the gift of this community.

Cancer changes a family forever. But no family should have to navigate what comes next alone.

Around the campfire, there are no explanations required. There is space for laughter and grief, remembrance and new memories, sometimes all at the same time.

For more than four decades, Camp Reach for the Sky - CR4TS has created a place where families impacted by cancer can find connection, belonging and people who get it.

Last night, under the stars, that legacy continued.

This is camp. This is community. This is OAK. 🔥🌳
