Congratulations to Veterans Village of San Diego on a successful 38th annual Stand Down!

Thank you to the sponsors who made this possible, particularly Car Care Council, who announced the launch of the Cool Air Rebate program at Stand Down! Stand Down 2026, Day 1, is complete.

Veterans, service members, and their families - one more day left! Stop by Ingram Plaza at Liberty Station tomorrow, Saturday, July 18, 2026, between 0800 and 1700.

Proud to share that our founder, Ashley L. Salas, has been named one of the 2026 American Bar Association's On the Rise — Top 40 Young Lawyers!

As a public interest attorney, Ashley built PPF's free and confidential Public Benefits Navigator on a simple idea: access to justice means knowing what resources are available to you. The Navigator helps people find the public programs they qualify for, often ones they didn't even know existed.

"It's about helping people know there are resources available," says Ashley. “When we couldn’t find a comprehensive list of public programs, we decided to make one and make it easy to use."

Ashley has also been recognized with a Wildlife Guardian Award from Global Conservation Force and has been twice named Adjunct Professor of the Year at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She also serves on the boards of directors of Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego, Global Conservation Force, and the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Alumni Association.

Thank you, County of San Diego, for having Public Programs Foundation at Waterfront Park's 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

Registration deadline: Tues., June 30, 2026

Youth age 17 and under who register are eligible to receive tickets to the County Fair.

Prizes for completing the program include tickets to local museums and tickets to a Padres game.
