Empathy is the Remedy Foundation

We are a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization.

With our primary guiding principle, "Empathy is the Remedy", we give Joy and inspire positive action every day to uplift people's lives and leave our community better than we found it. Donations will fund the programs that our late founder Nicole Joy Ledina envisioned and additional projects that we will undertake in her honor. Initial programs include:

1) Funding her Education, Music and Athlet

ics Scholarships for young people in need

2) Reestablish her Service Club that provided Music and Music Therapy to Hospitals, Senior Homes, Homeless Shelters and other Medical/Social Service Facilities.

3) Honor, Remember, and Support Veterans, Veteran-causes and their families - Partnership with Wreaths Across America

4) Blood and Plasma Drive - During her illness, Nicole was given multiple units of blood products while in the hospital. She vowed that when she has the opportunity she will not only replenish what she used but also surpass that amount so others who need it will have it available to them as well. Lets help Nicole keep that promise.

5) Give Joy Today Volunteer Days - Recruit, Organize, and Deploy "Nicole's Army" of Volunteers to "Give Joy" during volunteer days in the community year-around.

We are beyond excited to announce that the incredibly talented Taylor DeGuzman of The Walt Disney Company will be joining us live to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at Riverside National Cemetery this Saturday! 🎤✨

There is nothing quite like hearing our National Anthem ring out over the hallowed grounds where our heroes rest. It sets the tone for a day of remembrance, honor, and teaching our youth the value of freedom.

This Veterans Day, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and connection. We had the immense privilege of spending the morning with the wonderful veterans from Toyota USA North American Parts Center in Corona, CA – a truly humbling experience. 🫡

Over a delicious BBQ lunch 🍗, we shared the story of Empathy is the Remedy Foundation , inspired by Nicole Joy Ledina's vision. We spoke passionately about our three-part mission: to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH the next generation the value of freedom, through our annual National Wreaths Across America Day event at Riverside National Cemetery . 🕊️

What truly resonated was their beautiful Missing Man Table 🕯️, a solemn and powerful tribute. Each item on the table held deep symbolism, representing the absence of the missing and the sacrifice of their families. It was a poignant reminder of those who gave their all and those who never returned. 😔

This visit reinforced why we dedicate ourselves to Wreaths Across America at Riverside National Cemetery – to ensure every sacrifice is acknowledged. We are so grateful for Toyota NAPCC's support and their commitment to our veteran community. 🤝

Today, on what would have been her birthday, we pause to celebrate the beautiful life and enduring legacy of our founder, Nicole Joy Ledina. ✨

Nicole’s vision that "Empathy is the Remedy" laid the foundation for everything we do, inspiring us to uplift lives and leave our community better than we found it.
Her passion for service, especially her extensive work with and affinity for veterans, the sick, seniors, and the less fortunate continues to shape our mission.

In her honor, we're incredibly proud to have kicked off Operation Replenish: A Mission to Save Lives – our new blood drive program, this weekend! This initiative embodies her spirit of tangible action and saving lives.

We also steadfastly continue the programs close to her heart:

* Our role as the Official WAA Location Coordinator for Wreaths Across America Day at Riverside National Cemetery, ensuring our heroes are honored.

* The annual endowed educational scholarship awarded in Nicole's name, fostering the next generation of empathetic leaders.

Nicole's spirit is truly the driving force behind every initiative. And there's much more to come in the new year as we expand her impactful vision.
