“This is the best day in a long time” said one of the ladies. Ice cream for the children, manicures, facials, small gift bags, hair treatments, and barber services were part of this day.

As Ramadan move towards the end of this lunar month, local volunteers lovingly hosted a day of pampering for families in our partner settlements - to prepare for a dignified Eid celebration.

We are continuing forward with our humanitarian relief to enhance life in the hearts of Syrian children forced into refugee.

With the current generation of Syrian children gaining the nickname of "The Lost Generation." This is a narrative we deeply desire to shift.

We are still in our last fundraising efforts - with the hope of gaining enough support to provide both our settlements in Northern Lebanon with their own playground.

Despite food shortages, violent protests, banks closing, and a global pandemic... Our chapter, in partnership with Kinder World Minnesota have beat the odds by beginning our rapid distribution of food to both Syrian refugee settlements in Northern Lebanon - supporting 300 people.

We are now moving into the last phase of our fundraising effort - hoping to gain enough support to provided a full playground set for both settlements - in an effort to give children a supportive avenue for play... even when stuck in unthinkable conditions.

With our vision being informed by Maslow's Hierarchy of needs, Kinder World California is the newest development out of Kinder World Minnesota

Continuing with our goal to create autonomy, and assist with moving towards the possibility of self-actualization - the California Chapter has tied all its efforts with a Syrian Refugee settlement in Norther Lebanon.

As the Coronavirus pandemic takes hold in Lebanon, Kinder World California - Tamara Bella Loki Sharif, in partnership with Kinder World Minnesota - Lindsey L Smith has started an emergency initiative to protect our camp communities, doubling our beneficiaries to 300 people served between our 2 camps. With our donations, Each family received:

- accurate information about the virus, how to protect each other and how to properly sanitize shared living spaces and hands
- care packages including gloves, soap, disinfectant cleaning supplies and towels
