Day 2 Virtual science camp ( Bullis Bridge camp): We did activities to learn how far microparticles can reach after a sneeze and how long they hang out in enclosed spaces.
We learned that wearing a mask decreases the probability of getting the virus out/or in: and together with keeping distance can minimize the probability of virus getting in our body by 95%.
We also learned the right way to wash hands and why soap is an important factor in dissolving the outlier layer of the virus, thus destroying it.
A big shoutout to Susan Norman, Mihika Ruchi Kasliwal Jain and Annabelle Fu for leading the activities and discussion.

Explorabox along with Bullis Booster Bridge Camp is running a week long virtual camp.. Theme of the science camp is:
"Science gone viral" Science of viruses in simple language and activities.

Day #1 Constructing a Model of the COVID 19, How it hijacks the machinery of the living cell. Thanks to Sonia, Kelly and Dr. Jane packard

Thanks to all the volunteers young and old.
I have the activities available if anyone will like to use them for education of young kids.
Or if you will like Explorabox to run another virtual science camp.

Best birthday present came at the end of the day: A picture and a quote from one of the kids in the RV project:

Explorabox is working with karat school project ( thekps.org ) in providing science kits to the kids who are living in the RV's parked all over the bay area.

Thanks to Pam Caywood, Mario Gonzales, Fern and of course Sushma Goyal, we delivered over 150 kits so far.
There is a need for many more.

Do you see the RVs lined up in Palo Alto, mountain view area? There are kids living there and with on line learning, they are shut off from the system.
Meet Evelyne Keomian , founder of theksp.org is a bundle of energy and an inspiration ( check out their website). She is doing something about it in Karat school project.

Explorabox is glad to be a part of karat school project ( thekps.org ) in providing science kits to the kids who are living in the RV's parked all over the bay area.

Thanks to Pam Caywood, Mario Gonzales, Fern and of course Sushma Goyal, we delivered over 70 kits so far.
There is a need for many more.

If you can spare some time in assembling these kits, please let me know and I will arrange a safe outdoor assembly line or supply the material to your home.
