Let the government shut down! Let every single one of them get a taste of what it feels like to be forced out of a job and a livelihood!

WE THE PEOPLE FUND EVERY SINGLE LAST PENNY

These career politicians that we've elected to "represent" US and to faithfully carry out the duties of government, are among the wealthiest people in America. How is it that sitting members of Congress can exponentially increase their own net worth, while at the same time be so derelict in their duties when it comes to spending OUR money?

Whether it's about covid stimulus or being able to fund the government to avoid a shutdown, the core issue remains the same: they are still collecting their salaries. They are all still employed. They arent being forced to shutter their businesses or wait in food lines or sleep on a fu***ng city street in the cold! And its OUR MONEY that keeping THEM warm at night.

This problem doesnt start and stop in Congress either. Governors who live in the PEOPLE'S mansions that WE PAY FOR, are clueless as to how their authoritatian power grabs are, literally, killing the same people who they rely upon for their taxpayer funded privileged lifestyles! They're too enamored by the personal benefits, profits, and perks dangled in from of them by the lobbyist sugar daddies, that they've lost all touch with who they are, and more importantly, who they're supposed to represent... WE, THEIR EMPLOYERS.

While the private sector struggles to barely survive under the dictatorships of elected officials at both the state and federal levels, the public sector is thriving without any perceived threat to their comfort. What does it matter that our kids cant learn in a classroom, when the teachers are still getting paid and the teacher's unions are demanding even more of our scarce, hard earned money - never mind the fact that many parents dont even have a job or business to return to.

As long as they can keep us begging them for bits of their table scraps, they're going to continue feasting on every tender morsel we provide them. So, I say, let the government shut down. Show each and every one of them that without us, they are irrelevant and we're no longer going to enrich their lifestyles as they devise more ways to destroy our lives.

Some more stats on PA:

One of the largest studies into the incidence and prevalence of parental alienation was conducted by Clawar and Rivlin (1991) over a 12 year period. They found out that in 86% of the 1000 cases they studied there was some element of parental programming and brainwashing in an effort to implant false and negative ideas about the other parent, with the intention of turning the child against that other parent. Their published findings break down as follows:

21% occasionally
14% no detection of programming-and-brainwashing

This incidence level of frequent alienating behaviors (once or more than once per day 45%) was also found by Johnston and Campbell in their 1988 study where they reported alienation occurring approximately 40% of the time. Several important studies soon followed all of which indicate that parental alienation is acknowledged as prevalent in approximately 25% of custody disputes (Bernet, 2008). Bernet (2008) outlines this history in his article "Parental Alienation Disorder and DSM-V" as follows:

Janet Johnston (1993) reported that 7% of the children in one study and 27% of the children in a second study had "strong alignment" with one parent and rejection of the other parent.

In a 1997 presentation to the American College of Forensic Psychology, Larry Nicholas reported on a survey of 21 custody evaluators. The majority of Nicholas' respondents reported that in about one-third (33%) of their custody evaluation cases, one parent was engaging in clear alienating behavior.

Sandra Berns (2001) reported on a study of divorce judgments from 1995 to 2000 in Brisbane, Australia, where PA was found to be present in 29% of reviewed cases.

Bernet (2008) goes on to report that 10% of children (7.4 million) in the United States live with divorced parents and 10% of these (740,000) are involved in custody or visitation disputes of which 25% (185,000) develop parental alienation.

Prevalence of parental alienation drawn from a representative poll

"The current work is the first known representative poll of adults (N = 610) aimed at determining the prevalence of parental alienation. Parental alienation describes actions that a parent takes to intentionally, or unintentionally, distance a child (or children) from the other parent (Darnell, 1998). Results revealed that 13.4% of parents (or 9.03% of the entire sample) have been alienated from one or more of their children. Our findings suggest that tens of millions of adults and their children may be impacted by parental alienation, which is much higher than previous estimates.

Furthermore, findings show evidence of parental alienation across all socio-economic
and demographic indicators. However, when compared to Census estimates of different demographic groups in the U.S. population, targeted parents were over-represented among Blacks/African Americans and Native Americans, and those with only a high school diploma level education. The sheer magnitude of parental alienation uncovered in this study indicates the need for more attention to be paid to this important and pervasive problem."
