Evaluation Notes:
Dog displayed sociability by coming over for affection with a wagging tail, loose body, and low head. She is able to be leashed and walked outside easily. She stays closely next to me while walking leaning into me and pausing at times seemingly nervous. She takes offered treats by hand gently, places them down, and is not interested to consume them. She leans in for affection when sitting with her and is easily returned to kennel.

Nursing mom and pups. No dog/dog interaction at this time.
Dog displays sociability by approaching me at the barrier with a loose body and wagging tail. She is easy to leash and walk outside and takes treats gently from my hands.
Evaluation from Foster:
Hello,
We are located in Bulverde and I am trying to find help for a 2yr old (HW antigen negative, but blood smear positive) Doberman mum (and possibly, her 10 babies) whom we are currently/temporarily fostering until the puppies are of age to be separated from mum and fixed/adopted out.
Attempting to make a long story as short as possible, we saw Mako (the mum) on SAACS's site and we ended up in a position of fostering her and her babies for 1 month (started 17 Feb). We did not know, until pickup day that she was HW positive, but they had given her HW prevention on 16 Feb, the day she was tested.
At that time they also informed me that they do not treat for HW. We are unsure if the antigen was negative because of nursing/pregnancy or if it was because she just has an early infection. But with her diagnosis I'm fairly certain she will be at the top of the list for euthanasia if she goes back.
The puppies are currently about 6 weeks of age and are getting their 1st round of Vx and 2nd dewormer tomorrow (Sunday 1 March 2026).
Mako is the absolute sweetest, most docile dobie I could have imagined. She is house broken (despite apparently coming from the streets). She knows what "no" means, I was able to teach her how to sit, and even though she seems to have an aversion to shower/spraying water - she "let" me shower her (she was trying to escape the whole time, but she never showed any aggression). She is good with kids (i have 3 young kids), she only whines when she wants to visit with her babies, she has barked at another dog while waghing her tail, but otherwise just stairs at them briefly. I've never fostered before and I've also never had a dog/dogs. I know that she is 100% adoptable and would make someone a wonderful companion - she just needs the chance.
Is there any way that your rescue/a rescue you know could help save her?
I'm grateful for any advice, guidance and help. I just want her to have the chance she deserves.
ACS said after the puppies have their Vx (tomorrow) they will be posted for pre-adoption on their site.

I have started taking "cute/adopt me" pictures of the pups and was planning on sharing on nextdoor, but i don't know how or where best to "advertise" them - as I mentioned, we have never done this before - I just wanted to give them what we could - a month of time where they aren’t at risk of euthanasia, and an opportunity for her and her babies to be a little socialized so they have a better chance to meet their forever families.
Thank you so much ♡
