🎗️ BEYOND THE GOLD RIBBON

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and throughout the month you’ll see a lot of gold.

But behind every gold ribbon is a child. A family. And a reality that most people never see.

Childhood cancer affects so much more than a child’s health. It can mean missed work and lost income. Long hospital stays. Extra expenses. Siblings adjusting to a new normal. Parents trying to hold everything together while navigating one of the most difficult experiences imaginable.

That’s why this September, we’re taking you Beyond the Gold Ribbon.

Throughout the month, we’ll share some of the realities childhood cancer families face — and why having a community surrounding them matters.

Because awareness is important.

But awareness should lead to action.

This September, we’re asking San Antonio to learn, share, show up and GO GOLD for kids with cancer. 🎗️

Together, we can remind families across our community that they do not have to face childhood cancer alone.

It takes a community.
