Now that we’re all settled after our move, we’re excited to get back to serving our neighbors and their animals in both San Antonio and our new home of New Braunfels. 🤍🐾

There are two men who stay near us, and we’re hoping to get them set up with essential supplies to help care for themselves and their pups while enduring the Texas heat.

We’ve added some new items to our Amazon wish list that will help us better meet these needs. If you’re willing and able to support this mission, we would be so grateful if you would take a look at the list.

Feel Good Friday 💛🐾 Meet Baby Red

At our March 1st clinic, Baby Red came in with his owner for what was supposed to be a routine visit.

During his exam, our team discovered he had an undescended testicle — a condition that can carry serious risks, including infection, torsion, and a significantly increased chance of cancer if left untreated.

Because of your support, Hope 4 Hounds was able to diagnose the issue immediately and schedule surgery to neuter Baby Red and remove the retained testicle — preventing potentially life-threatening complications.

We are providing this surgery at no cost to his owner.

But care like this isn’t free — it’s made possible by donors who believe every pet deserves a chance at a healthy life.

If you’d like to support Baby Red’s surgery and recovery, you can donate today and note “Baby Red” in the memo. Every dollar helps cover surgical supplies, medications, and follow-up care.

As we prepare for our next event on April 11, there are some critical items we still need! 🤍🐾

We’re working to make sure we can show up fully prepared to support both our unhoused neighbors and their pets, and we could really use your help to get there.

Right now, our biggest needs include dog food, treats, collapsible bowls, and items for our care and dignity kits. Every single donation helps us serve more people and more pets.

Trust the process. ❤️🤍

Right now it might look like opening packs, sorting supplies, and filling Ziploc bags. This time it is one pair of socks at a time. Small steps, simple tasks, and a lot of late nights packing supplies. But every single item will end up in the hands of someone who needs it.

We’re still in the very beginning stages of this project, learning, growing, and figuring things out as we go. And we truly couldn’t do it without the incredible support from this community.

Wanted to do a huge shout out and thank you to Stephanie Mendiola and all of the people from Make A Stand Bully Rescue whose donations helped us to have a very successful first event!

I have always loved the rescue community for thier willingness to help when people and pets are in need, and I have been so greatful for all the partnerships, and guidance while starting this journey!

One of the biggest parts of our outreach is making sure the pets of our unhoused neighbors are cared for, too. These animals are family, companions, and often the most consistent source of love and support their people have.
