Every new Partner creates a new possibility.

A nonprofit leader gains a mentor.
A mission gains momentum.
A challenge meets strategy.
A connection opens a door.
A community solution grows stronger.

At SVP San Antonio, we believe in investing in nonprofits as true partners. That means taking time to understand their mission, their challenges, and their potential.

When Partners show up with time, talent, resources, and relationships, nonprofits gain more than support. They gain a community that is invested in their success.

As we grow toward 100 Partners, we are growing the possibilities available to nonprofits across San Antonio.

Across San Antonio, multiple organizations are stepping up to help families prepare for the school year by offering free school supplies and backpacks, including United Way, the Housing Authority of Bexar County, CentroMed, IDEA Public Schools, Joint Base San Antonio, SAISD, Brooks City-Base, and others.

This kind of support matters.

For many families, back-to-school season brings excitement, but it can also bring financial stress. Access to backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other essentials helps reduce that burden and gives students a stronger start. It helps children walk into the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

For the nonprofit and community sectors, this is a reminder that small resources can make a big impact. When organizations work together to meet practical needs, they help strengthen families and support student success from day one.

At Social Venture Partners San Antonio, we know that community investment often looks like meeting people where they are and helping create the conditions for them to thrive.

Recovery is not only about rebuilding what was lost. It is also about restoring what sustains us.

After the devastating Hill Country flooding, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is helping lead riverbank restoration efforts, including work connected to native tree restoration along the Guadalupe River. Through its TREES Initiative, the Garden aims to help reforest the river with 50,000 native trees over five years.

This story is a powerful reminder that recovery goes beyond roads, buildings, and infrastructure. It also includes restoring the land, protecting water systems, strengthening ecosystems, and helping communities heal in ways that are both visible and lasting.

For the nonprofit sector, this is an important example of how mission-driven organizations step into long-term recovery work. Environmental restoration is community restoration. It supports resilience, public health, conservation, and the future well-being of the region.

At Social Venture Partners San Antonio, we know meaningful impact often happens at the intersection of people, place, and partnership. This work reflects what it looks like when nonprofits help communities recover not just for today, but for the future.

Capacity Is Part of the Mission

More programs are not always the answer.
Sometimes the greatest opportunity for a nonprofit is strengthening the organization behind the programs.
Better systems, clearer strategies, stronger boards, and healthier teams allow nonprofits to serve their communities more effectively and sustainably.
Capacity building may happen behind the scenes, but its impact is visible everywhere.

What is one area of capacity your organization is working to strengthen?

Your Skills May Be the Missing Piece
A nonprofit leader may be spending weeks trying to solve something you handle every day. One conversation could provide the clarity they need to move forward.
Through Catchafire, skilled volunteers can support nonprofits through focused consultations and manageable projects that match their experience and availability.
SVPSA sponsors access to this resource to help local organizations expand their capacity without increasing overhead.
What question could someone ask you about your area of expertise?

Every Partner brings something.

Some bring business experience.
Some bring nonprofit knowledge.
Some bring board leadership.
Some bring marketing, finance, HR, technology, fundraising, or strategy expertise.
Some bring relationships, curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to serve.

At SVP San Antonio, those contributions come together to strengthen nonprofits and build community.

You do not have to have every answer. You just have to be willing to bring what you have.

Because when every Partner brings something, every Partner creates a possibility.

100 Partners. 100 Possibilities.
Bring what you have. Become a Partner.
