One year of The Hot Plate Project ❤️
I’ve always found so much joy in being in the kitchen. Creating meals, gathering around a table, and bringing people together through food. At the same time, I knew I wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to our beautiful San Antonio community.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t have to choose between the two. I could combine them. And that’s where The Hot Plate Project began.
What started as an idea quickly became so much bigger than I could have imagined. From our very first meal prep, our first food drives, becoming members at Restaurant Depot, building partnerships, gathering volunteers, hosting community events, and cooking countless meals for local shelters. Every step has been fueled by people who believe in this mission.
Looking through these photos, I’m reminded of just how far we’ve come.
I see the beginning.
I see the people who believed in the idea.
I see the meals we’ve made.
I see the hands that have helped.
I see the community that continues to show up.
To everyone who has donated, volunteered, cooked, partnered with us, attended an event, brought food to a drive, shared our mission, or simply believed in what we’re building THANK YOU!
