Just a little update on what we’re doing! Thanks to our partners at McCombs Ford West!

A set of keys may look small, but yesterday they represented freedom, opportunity and a brand new beginning for one hardworking single parent family!

On August 26th, our Driving Single Parents family came together once again to celebrate the gift of reliable transportation. These giveaways are about so much more than a vehicle. They mean dependable transportation to work, fewer missed opportunities, more time with family and the ability to begin planning for the future instead of simply trying to get through today.

We are incredibly grateful to McCombs Ford West and Zack Tlili for opening their doors and their hearts to our mission. “Driven to Serve” is much more than a slogan at Red McCombs. Their team continues to put those words into action by helping single parent families move forward and get back on the road to success.

We also want to recognize the generous sponsors who make this work possible. Many quietly support our families without ever asking for recognition. Their kindness may happen behind the scenes, but the difference they make is seen and felt for years to come.

Thank you as well to every Driving Single Parents team member who gives their time, energy and heart to these families. From all the work that happens before a giveaway to the people who show up on the big day, every helping hand plays an important part.

The true impact of a vehicle is often revealed long after the keys are handed over. Families have contacted us years later to share that reliable transportation helped them keep a job, complete their education, better care for their children and eventually become a source of support for someone else.

Driving Single Parents was built on the belief that helping one family can positively affect an entire community. Nearly a decade later, that belief continues to guide everything we do.

Join us Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30 PM at McCombs Ford West as we surprise one incredibly hardworking single parent with the keys to a reliable vehicle at absolutely no cost!

We would love to fill the showroom with community members ready to celebrate this life changing moment with us. You are also invited to bring a small gift to place in the vehicle as an extra surprise for the family. Gas cards, gift cards, car care products, oil change certificates, and other thoughtful items are always appreciated.
