“🐾 Meet Jake 🤍
Jake is a stunning black pitty mix with a story that’s unfortunately all too common. He was found running with a pack of strays that had settled on someone’s ranch. Eventually the others moved on — but Jake stayed behind, almost as if he was finally tired of surviving on his own.
Thankfully, the ranch manager took him in and showed him kindness, but due to restrictions was only able to keep one dog temporarily while searching for a more permanent solution for him.
Despite his rough past, Jake is truly a sweetheart. He absolutely loves affection and would happily snuggle with you all day if given the chance. In fact, his favorite place to sleep is basically directly on top of you 🥹
Jake can coexist around other dogs and cats just fine; however, because of his time surviving as a stray and likely needing to protect his food to survive, he does have resource guarding tendencies surrounding food and high-value items. Because of this, Jake will require an experienced, patient adopter who understands boundaries, structure, and proper management. He would likely do best as the only pet in the home.
Jake is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for a fresh start with someone willing to give him the stability and understanding he deserves.
