The Cibolo Police Department has formed the Cibolo Citizens Police Academy program to create an expansion of their community based efforts. The program is intended to open the lines of communication between the Community and the Police Department. Generally, the relationship between the police and the citizen is one of “love/hate”. To the Citizen, it quite often appears that the police are not doi

ng their job or are exceeding their boundaries. By allowing the citizens a firsthand look at what rules, regulations and policies the police follow, some of the misunderstandings may be alleviated. The objective of the Citizen Police Academy is not to train an individual to be a “Reserve Police Officer” but to produce informed citizens. In the past, citizens have simply seen a uniform, now they have an understanding about the person behind the badge.

We are thrilled to announce that our Blue Santa program is officially open for applications! This wonderful initiative aims to bring joy to children in our community during the holiday season.

Denim Day is tomorrow!

On Denim Day, which takes place on the last Wednesday in April — April 24 this year — we stand in solidarity with sexual assault survivors and victims. Celebrated every year on the last Wednesday of April, Denim Day started as a campaign against sexual assault apologists.

Cibolo Police Department, Crime Victims Services, will have a table at the event to share resources for victims.
